Applications for Our Heavy Duty Castor Wheels

Heavy-duty castors are an essential component for many applications, both industrial and commercial. They provide the perfect solution for moving heavy capacities and equipment, as they are designed to be able to handle much more weight than standard or lighter duty ones. Heavy duty castors are typically made from durable materials such as steel or aluminium and feature a variety of wheel options including solid rubber, pneumatic and nylon tyres. These castors allow for smooth movement in any direction and can be used in a range of environments including workshops, warehouses, offices, manufacturing plants and other industrial sites. Many of the products in our range feature wheels that are able to be locked in place when needed, providing additional safety benefits in busy working environments.

Benefits of Our Heavy Duty Castors

Heavy duty castors offer numerous benefits for a wide range of applications. They are designed to support heavy capacities, making them a popular choice for industrial and commercial use. They are also extremely durable and can withstand extreme temperatures, weather conditions, and other environmental factors. Additionally, they provide superior mobility as they can easily be moved from one location to another without any difficulty. Furthermore, heavy-duty castors come in a variety of sizes and styles to suit any need or application. With the help of these castors, users can move their equipment with ease while ensuring that it is safe and secure during transport. Overall, heavy-duty castors provide superior support, durability, convenience, and mobility which make them perfect for any job or purpose.

Swivel Casters

Also known as bolt hole castors, they have a single hole at the top of the castor bracket for a bolt to go through, this bolt allows it to attach to carts, racks, furniture, and more.

They’re known as swivel castors because they can rotate 360 degrees, making them ideal for tight spaces and sharp corners, as you can move around equipment easily. The manoeuverability is their main selling point.

Fixed Casters

As their name suggests, fixed castors do not rotate 360 degrees, they are ‘fixed’ in place and can only move back and forth. This is a disadvantage for them, however, they make up for it with the amount of weight they can carry – they can handle much heavier capacities and are known to be more durable. Alhough only being able to move forwards and backwards, when they do move, the journey for the equipment is quick and smooth.

Heavy Duty Polyurethane Castors

We also offer a wide variety of polyurethane castors in our heavy duty range. They are extremely durable, wear-resistant and corrosion resistant, making them break down less easily than rubber does when exposed to heat or chemicals. They’re non-marking and work well on hard surfaces like concrete, ceramic and even hardwood. You won’t be damaging your floors with these castors.

Braked Castors

n our heavy duty range, a lot of our series include casters with brakes. They stop them from moving, this is ideal for if you’re manoeuvring equipment on an uneven surface or a slant and your workers need to stop and start, either to put stock away or deliver more stock to the shelves. They are also perfect for equipment that needs to stay in place but also needs to be moved on occasion.

Whether you need one of our heavy duty casters for a trolley, portable equipment or appliance, we’ve got you covered. Whatever industry you work within, we’ve got an industrial castor that suits you. Manufactured in a range of materials to suit the different applications they were designed for; elastic, aluminium, nylon, steel, iron, polyamide, rubber and more.
